Into The Woods is Footlite Musicals’ Young Artists Production, featuring performers ages 13 to high school graduates. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and text by James Lapine, these characters’ stories reflect the complications of living in modern society and the difficulties we encounter on the paths of our lives. Interwoven with these classic tales are a baker and his wife, whose longing for a child is thwarted by a mischievous rapping witch who lives next door. Into The Woods brings to musical life Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and other well-known fairy-tale characters, but with unexpected twists on their original stories.

Recent Young Adults Productions have included The Wedding Singer, Once On This Island, The Will Rogers Follies, Footloose, The Secret Garden, Seussical and Ragtime. Kathleen Horrigan will direct this production. Participants must be high school graduates in 2010. Open auditions are held in May for interested performers. All about mistaken identities, youthful rebellion and love, the musical features such Presley classics as “Jailhouse Rock,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “That’s All Right,” “It’s Now Or Never,” “Love Me Tender,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “All Shook Up.” Veteran Footlite director Kathleen Clarke Horrigan will direct the production.Ĭheck out photos from the show on our Facebook page!Īlll Shook Up is Footlite Musicals’ Young Adults Production, featuring performers ages 18 to 25. All Shook Up is based on William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” This rollicking musical, set in the Midwest during the 1950s, is a great way to kick off the summer.
